Money
is not everything to employees...
A study by the
Families and Work Institute found money and advancement are valued,
but flexibility and control over work content are keys to satisfaction
and productivity.
Flexibility was shown to be most critical to the ability to manage
responsibilities at home and work. In fact, throughout the studies
referenced here, flexibility was consistently cited as one of the
top work-life benefits more desired by employees. Flexibility also
appears to have been a significant and positive impact of morale,
retention and productivity.
